Running Up at Brighton Pier

On a breezy summer day in Brighton, my son dashed up the pebbled beach, laughing as waves chased him back toward the shore. The iconic Brighton Palace Pier loomed in the background, its arcades and rides gleaming in the sunlight. The scene perfectly captures the joy of childhood and the lively atmosphere of one of England’s most beloved seaside towns. Brighton Palace Pier, opened in 1899, is famed for its amusements and draws visitors year‑round. The pebbled beach itself is part of the experience, with colourful deck chairs and the sound of the surf completing the scene.
