The T100 Triathlon took place in London today, with the cycling leg held on a closed-road circuit running from Victoria Docks in the east to Westminster in the west. Riders completed multiple laps, passing through well-known streets and alongside sections of the Thames.
I followed parts of the course on my Brompton, moving between different points to photograph the race. The compact bike made it easy to slip through side streets and get ahead of the riders, allowing me to capture a wide range of shots from different angles and locations. By the end, I had built up a sizeable collection of images covering much of the route.
The warm sunshine drew steady crowds along the barriers and at key viewing spots, creating a lively atmosphere that lasted through the morning.
